Northville Village Shopping Center is a 10-minute walk from the subdivision. It is loaded with retailers like Office Depot, REI, Bed Bath & Beyond, Applebees, and Petsmart. If you would head further north, you'll find Costco, The Home Depot, and a movie theatre, AMC Livonia 20. Several restaurants are also situated in this area. Some of these are Brann's Steakhouse and Sports Grille Restaurant, Bucca di Beppo, P.F. Chang, Noodles and Company and Pancheros Mexican Grill.

North of Northville Village Shopping Center are Hawthorne Center Hospital and Northville Health Center. Hawthorne Center Hospital is a children psychiatric with 69 beds while Northville Health Center is a multi-specialty outpatient center. 1.3 mile east is Detroit Marriott Livonia. 

Another shopping center 1.4 miles east of Edgewater condos is Newburgh Plaza Shopping Center. Busch's Fresh Food Market grocery is inside the mall. There are also restaurants like Big Boy, Kerby's Koney Island, Rocky's Rotisserie, Thai Basil and Panera Bread. Anytime Fitness Gym is also inside.

Downtown Northville is located 4.3 miles north of Edgewater Condos. Downtown Northville features seven locally-owned restaurants, a Great Harvest Bread, and outdoor music in the summer. The Northville District library could also be found here. It has free Wi-Fi and lots of computers to use. They have kids' section as well where there are educational toys for kids tp play with. There's also a puppet theater every week. They also have a TV section for their DVDs if you want to check out the post season of shows you want to watch. Near the library are several stores like Garage Grill and Fuel Bar, Rebecca's Family Restaurant and Ice Cream, and Starbucks. If you're looking for entertainment, you could try Tipping Point Theatre or McGuires Fine Art Gallery. Hiller's Market is also in this area. 

Nearest Park is Henningsen Park which is 1.2 miles west. It's is located behind the Northville Township Police Department, is a three-acre park and offers two ball diamonds. Another park 1.4 miles south is Bien Park which is already in Livonia perimeter. Another park close to the subdivision is Cass Benton Park and Disc Golf Course. It is 3.5 miles west. The park has been popular since the 1920s; it's open for picnics and family recreation. The disc-golf course's terrain is hilly and heavily wooded making it a fun and challenging experience for players.

Edgewater Condos is 1 mile east of I-275. 2 miles south is M-14.

Downtown Northville is 4.3 miles north. Detroit Metropolitan Wayne Country Airport is 19 miles south. Northville Tech Center is located 4.9 miles southwest. Some of the most notable companies here are IAV Automotive Engineering, Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America, Inc., ZF Friedrichshafen AG and Aisin Technical Center of America.

Northville High School is 3.5 miles from Edgewater Condos. Northville High School has 2,283 students enrolled. This school was named a Silver Medal High School by U.S. News and World Report in 2014 and is rated 10 out of 10 by greatschools.org. 

There are also private schools near Edgewater Condos. Northville Montessori Center is half a mile south of Edgewater Condos. It has 75 students enrolled and offers Spanish classes. Our Lady of Victory School is 4.4 miles northwest. The school has 449 students enrolled and accepts K-8. Student-teacher ratio is 16:1. St. Paul Lutheran School is 4.7 miles northwest. It's a private religious school that provides service for grade levels 2-13, over 7 hours a day. There are 43 students enrolled and student-teacher ratio is 6:1. Ladywood High is an all-girls high school located in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Detroit which is 2.7 miles southeast. Ratio of student/teacher is 10:1 since it only has 300 students enrolled. They accept grades 9-12. 

Eastern Michigan University is a walking distance from Edgewater Condos. This school is a public, co-educational and belongs to Mid-American Conference. This school is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Beside Eastern Michigan University is ONLC Training Centers where they offer live IT training via remote instructors.  

Madonna University is 3.7 miles southeast. It has 4,399 students enrolled. This is a Catholic, private, and non-profit university which is considered as one of the largest Catholic school in the State. They offer programs for associate’s, bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees as well as certificates for different fields or areas of study.
