Downtown Berkley
Berkley is a suburb of Detroit located along the Woodward Corridor in southeastern Oakland County, Michigan. As of the 2010 census, the total population was 14,970. Berkley was ranked the No. 12 best place to live by Coldwell Banker in 2012. It’s the small-town life, easy access to jobs and entertainment in Detroit, walkable downtown and strong public schools that places Berkley on the list of many organizations and publications as a great place to live.
Revitalized in 2002, our downtown is pedestrian-friendly. Bricked crosswalks, newly constructed sidewalks and trees offering gentle shade combine with planters, benches and banners to make our downtown appealing, clean and safe for our families and visitors.
Cozy neighborhoods, an active downtown district and home to the annual Dream Cruise Parade, Berkley meets the varied needs of Berkley residents, businesses and visitors.
