New Detroit Subdivision Location
Homes in New Detroit, Livonia, MI are located north of Joy Rd and east of Middlebelt Rd.
There are several dining options surrounding the subdivision. These are Arby's, Mama Mia, Village Grill Coney Island and a lot more. There's also a CVS store within a short walk.
Wonderland Village is 1.5 miles west. It is an outdoor shopping center originally named Wonderland Center. Wonderland Center opened in 1959 as an open-air shopping center on the site of a former airport. The center is located at the southwest corner of Middlebelt Road and Plymouth Road, approximately one mile south of I-96. Walmart and Target are the complex's anchor stores. Meijer, Costco Wholesale and The Home Depot are less than a mile north of Wonderland Village.
Livonia Plaza Shopping Center is 4 miles northwest of New Detroit. It is anchored by Kroger and T.J. Maxx. Across are Dollar Tree, Merri-Bowl Lanes and Wendy's.
Livonia Marketplace is 5 miles north. It is a shopping mall in the Detroit suburb of Livonia, Michigan. Opened in 2010, the center is anchored by Sears and Wal-Mart. It occupies the site of the former Livonia Mall, which was an enclosed mall built in 1964. Livonia Mall lost the majority of its tenants in the 2000s, including its previous anchor stores of Crowley's (later Value City), Mervyns and Children's Palace. New Detroit students attend Livonia Public Schools. The school district serves most of the city of Livonia and the northernmost portions of Westland. The Livonia Public Schools District is a closed school district and does not accept students outside of its designated geographical boundaries. Those school boundaries are determined by the Board of Education. Transfers from within the school district must be approved through central office authorities.
Cleveland Elementary School is 1.5 from New Detroit. It is a K-4 elementary school off West-Chicago between Middlebelt and Inkster in Livonia. The school draws students from Livonia and Westland, and have a diverse population.
