The 2026 Society Ball is the Detroit Historical Society's signature annual fundraiser, held inside one of the most architecturally spectacular buildings in Detroit, the Guardian Building at 500 Griswold Street, with its soaring Art Deco lobby and the 32nd-floor Guardian Club looking out over the full city skyline. The evening includes a cocktail hour on the Promenade, dinner and drinks in the Guardian Club, and a silent auction, with black tie and Roaring 20s attire setting the tone for the whole affair. Tickets range from two hundred fifty to one thousand dollars depending on level, making it one of the most formal and immersive event experiences Detroit offers in April. Proceeds support the Detroit Historical Society's work preserving and sharing the history of one of America's most storied cities.
