Near the entrance of the subdivision are several stores including Vintage Market-they sell fresh meat, fresh produce, seafood, deli, hot food, lotto, fine wine and liquor. They also allow check cashing. Across Vintage Market are Sunoco gas station, Bakery Jill and Fratelli’s Pizza and Fish Fry.

Less than a mile south of London Townhouses are more stores and dining. One is Kroger. Kroger has several sections that grocery shoppers adore, such as Adult Beverage where cocktails, craft beer and great wines are sold, Deli and Bakery where one can find all party platters needs, cakes and Murray's Cheese. Kroger also has Fresh Produce section, Meat and Seafood section, and Natural Foods section. Shoppers prefer Kroger for a lot of reasons but primarily because of the store formats that include supermarkets, superstores, department stores, convenience stores, and mall jewelry stores. Across Kroger is L George’s Coney Island. The dining stands out for customer service, great food and generous portions. Other stores near the proximity are 7/11, CVS and Walgreens.

Closest park is Hines Park. The beautiful park spans several cities in Wayne County, including Northville, Plymouth, Livonia, Westland, Garden City, and Dearborn Heights. It's comprised of 20 park segments, and the park has many soccer fields, baseball diamonds, playgrounds, picnic areas, and much more.  During the warmer months, the park holds recreational soccer and baseball leagues. Around the holidays, the park glows with Christmas light displays. 

Another park close to the subdivision is Samuel J. Corrado Park which is 1 mile north. The park can accommodate around 100 people. Amenities are play structures for your kids, tennis courts, in-line hockey, picnic area, soccer and walking/jogging trail. There’s also dedicated parking.

Westland Shopping Center is 4 miles west of London Townhouses. The mall originally boasted a four-story Hudson's department store, with JCPenney later joining as a second anchor. In 1987, MainStreet joined the mall, becoming Kohl's one year later. Sears was first proposed as a new anchor in 1991 and opened in 1997, becoming the first Sears to open in Metro Detroit in over 20 years. In 2001, Hudson's was converted to Marshall Field's, which in turn became Macy's in 2006. On January 4, 2017, Macy's announced that it would close the Westland location in 8-12 weeks. In 2014, Westland received a major renovation. Bath & Body Works and Victoria's Secret were remodeled, whilst ULTA Beauty, Charming Charlie and Shoe Carnival opened. Now, the mall features more than 100 inline stores, with JCPenney, Sears, and Kohl's serving as anchor stores. MJI Westland Grand Cinema 16 is half a mile south of Westland Shopping Center.

Just across Westland Shopping Center is Westridge Shopping Center. It is an Open shopping mall with 2,098 parking spaces. It covers an area of 377,131 sqft. and has about 20 stores. Some of the stores here are Target, CVS, Burlington Coat Factory, Bed Bath & Beyond and Sally Beauty Supply.

London Townhouses Subdivision Freeway Access

London Townhouses is 2.5 miles south of I-96. It is in the northern part of Westland, near Livonia with some 4,000 businesses available. Major employers include Ford Automatic Transimission Operation (5 miles), United Parcel Services (UPS) Customer Center (3 miles), Roush Enterprises (2.5 miles) NYX Inc., Phillips Service Industries, Inc., McLaren Performance Technologies, and St. Mary Mercy Hospital.

London Townhouses students attend Livonia Public Schools. The school district serves most of the city of Livonia and the northernmost portions of Westland. The Livonia Public Schools District is a closed school district and does not accept students outside of its designated geographical boundaries. Those school boundaries are determined by the Board of Education. Transfers from within the school district must be approved through central office authorities.

Cleveland Elementary School is 2.2 miles north of London Townhouses. It is a K-4 elementary school off West-Chicago between Middlebelt and Inkster in Livonia. The school draws students from Livonia and Westland, and have a diverse population.

Cooper Upper Elementary School is less than a mile east. Emerson Middle School is 1.5 miles north. Over a span of five decades, the school has continued to serve the Livonia and Westland community by providing a quality educational program to thousands of students. The Emerson school day runs from 8:00 A.M. - 2:49 P.M. and consists of six periods during which all students must take required Language Arts, Math, Science and Social Science courses. Each semester, seventh and eighth grade student may also choose two electives classes.

Franklin High School is 1.5 miles northwest. It's is a comprehensive high school that services students in grades nine through twelve. Pupil enrollment is approximately 1,800 and there are over ninety faculty members. Total staff numbers over 180. They operate on a traditional school day of six class periods that meet every day and campus is a closed campus which means students eat their lunch at school. The student daily schedule runs from 7:25 a.m. to 2:20 p.m. Daily average attendance is 94.5%

Madonna University is located 6.5 miles northwest. Founded by the Felician Sisters in 1937, Madonna University is an independent, Catholic liberal arts university located in suburban Livonia. Eastern Michigan University is a comprehensive, co-educational public university that was founded in 1849 as Michigan State Normal School. Located 10 miles northwest, the school offers degrees and programs at the bachelor's, master's, specialist and doctoral levels. There are more than 200 majors and minors at the undergraduate level, and more than 170 graduate programs. EMU has six Academic Divisions and eight University Sites which include satellite campuses. Just like many other large universities, EMU does offer online courses and degrees. Currently, EMU comprises seven colleges and schools: College of Arts and Sciences, College of business, College of Education, College of Health and Human Services, College of Technology, an Honors College, and a Graduate School. The university's site is composed of an academic and athletic campus spread across 800 acres with over 120 buildings. EMU has a total enrollment of more than 23,000 students. The school is culturally diverse learning and teaching community set in a small city environment, amid a major metropolitan area. Oakland Community College – Orchard Ridge is 12.5 miles north. OCC has 5 campuses and the Orchard Ridge Campus in Farmington Hills is the largest. It's an award-winning Culinary Studies Institute is found in Orchard Ridge Campus. The campus is also known as the fine and performing arts campus, and offers visual and performing arts programs as well as several design programs. Throughout the year, the Wallace F. Smith Theatre offers cultural events, including theatre and dance performances open to the community and students.
