Loads of restaurants are located within 1-mile radius. Some are Dolly’s Pizza, Lukich’s Family Dining, Royal Indian Cuisine, Domino’s Pizza, Picano’s Italian Grille, Taco Bell, and National Coney Island.

A short walk west of the subdivision is Wendy’s. 7-Eleven and Ridley’s Bakery Café are across Wendy’s. Hungry Howie’s Pizza, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit, Ashoka Indian Cuisine, Wow Sushi, El Charro of Troy are located a few steps south of Wendy’s.

Less than a mile south is Troy Commons Shopping Center. Restaurants here are Qdoba Mexican Grill, Jimmy John’s, Panera Bread, and McDonalds. Fresh Thyme Farmers Markets is also located here. West Marine and Carter’s are the shopping stores inside Troy Commons.

Troy Market Place Shopping Center is across Troy Commons Shopping Center. 2booli, Burger King, and Pei Wei restaurant are proximal to Troy Market Place. Total Hockey, REI, and Golfsmith Xtreme are also located here.

Kroger is in the same block. Walgreens, Starbucks, Smashburger, and Buffalo Wild Wings are close to Kroger.

Raintree Park is also in the same block with the subdivision. Amenities include an 18-hole disc golf course, ball diamond, picnic shelters, sand volleyball court and 2 play equipment. There’s also a walking trail through the woods. Parking can accommodate up to 125 vehicles.

Another park south is Gateway Park. This small park offers several benches and bicycle racks for pedestrians. During summer, the pond has a lighted fountain. There’s also a connecting lighted sidewalk to Big Beaver and Rochester Rd. The park has no assigned parking.

Beaumont Hospital-Troy is 5.5 miles northeast. This 458-bed hospital offers in-patient and outpatient services as well as private practices. It has been recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Magnet hospital for nursing excellence.

Another Beaumont Hospital, in Royal Oak, is 7.5 miles southwest. It is the largest Beaumont hospital with an academic medical center. It houses 1,070 inpatient beds. Services offered are cancer, renal, vascular, heart, radiology, and neuroscience centers as well as a research institute and a medical building with private practices and other Beaumont services. This hospital has been recognized for excellence including University Healthcare Consortium’s (UHC) Quality Leadership Award,] U.S. News and World Report 2015 “Best Hospital” rankings in nine medical specialties, and Michigan’s first hospital to receive Magnet recognition by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Somerset Collection is 4 miles west. It is a luxury mall with more than 180 stores and is co-owned by The Forbes Company. Some of the top luxury retailers present in this mall are Cartiers, L.K. Bennett, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Tiffany & Co., Girogio Armani, Herve Leger, Anne Fontaine, Hugo Boss, MaxMara, Omega, St. John and Coach. Some of the restaurants here are P.F. Chang's China Bistro, J. Alexander's, Brio Tuscan Grille, McCormick & Schmick's, and California Pizza Kitchen. The third level of the mall features The Peacock Cafes, it's a group of 10 eateries that could serve up to 650 customers.  

Another mall located 4.5 miles south is Oakland Mall Shopping Center. It has about 120 stores that are anchored by Macy's, JCPenney, and Sears. Restaurants and dining at the food court are Charley's Grilled Subs, Cinnabon, Golden Chicken, Panda Express, Qdoba, Sicillia Pizza, Starbucks, Subway, and Taco Bell. Raintree Village is located 1 mile north of I-75. The subdivision is a 25-minute drive to Downtown Detroit, 5-minute drive to North Troy Corporate Park and a 15-minute drive to Pontiac.

Southeast Michigan’s technology cluster is located in Automation Alley. It is 2.5 miles south. It is home to several companies like Inergy Automotive Systems, Electric Charging Station, and NBS Commercial Interiors.

Top of Troy is the tallest building in Troy that caters to corporate offices. It is 3.5 miles west. PNC Financial Services is the major tenant that operates regional offices here. As of December 2014, it has assets of approximately $345.2 billion.

Oakland University is 10 miles north. This school was established in 1957, and it offers 132 undergraduate and 124 graduate academic programs. It is also a doctoral research university. There are approximately 19000 students enrolled and average tuition fees are $9,280 for freshmen and sophomores; $10,142 for juniors and seniors. Oakland does not charge any fees. Oakland Community College is a few steps south of Oakland University. It is one of the largest community colleges in Michigan and in the US.   

Wayne State University is 17.5 miles south. It's a public school that offers 187 program options. Students have the option to get bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and doctorates.
