May 2022 is going to be an awesome month to get out and enjoy Metro Detroit and is full of exciting events with some great upcoming concerts, comedy shows and more!

#1 Killer Flamingos
May 5 from 1:30PM-11PM
One Under Craft Beer & Eat

May 11 at 7:30PM
Royal Oak Farmers Market

Diving right in, head out to catch local band The Killer Flamingos, playing on both May 5 & 11. On May 5 they will be performing at One Under located in Livonia. This Cinco De Mayo event runs from 1:30-11PM. On May 11 they will be at the Royal Oak Farmers Market for their Food Truck/Sights & Sounds event with their show starting at 7:30PM.

#2 Mega 80’s vs Class of 98
May 21 at 8PM
The Magic Bag

For a blast from the past with two more fantastic local bands, Mega 80’s vs Class of 98 will be playing at The Magic Bag in Ferndale on May 21 starting at 8PM. It’s an 80’s vs 90’s night that will be full of fun and tons of your favorite hits. Stop next door to Como’s for some great pizza while you’re there!

If comedy is your thing, David Spade from memorable movies like PCU, Joe Dirt & Tommy Boy will be live at the Royal Oak Music Theatre on May 22 with doors opening at 6PM!

The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor

If tequila isn’t quite your pace, take a Wine Stroll through downtown Royal Oak on May 14 where businesses will provide a sample of wine and food at participating locations. Be sure to purchase tickets in advance for this one as well!

Hell, MI

Appropriately named, Embrace the Suck, created by Guinness World Record Holder and 2X Death Race winner, Joe Decker, is a grueling event full of trail running, carrying heavy objects, military calisthenics and more - 7 nights straight for 12 hours each. This WILL test your limits and challengers who survive the entire event will be added to the list of those who “Embraced the Suck”.
