Kids and adults alike can look forward to a Family Movie Night featuring "Gru", games with Saline Parks and Rec, an ice cream truck, and much more. Car enthusiasts, get ready for the 2023 Summerfest Car Show, open to vehicles of all makes, models, and years! Meanwhile, foodies can indulge in festival treats galore – from the delicacies served up at Blimpy Burgers and Bone Heads BBQ to the sweet offerings from Eleanor’s Sweets & Sodas. Community organizations like the Kiwanis Club and the Lions Club will also be present with their popular concessions. Milford Memories

The Art in the Village art show, a cornerstone of the festival, runs across all three days, hosting a myriad of vendors showcasing various forms of art, crafts, and jewelry. Additionally, the festival includes a range of children's activities, a 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament, Milford Memories Sand Volleyball Tournament, and a Rock Wall for young climbers.

Woodward Dream Cruise

Get ready for a trip down memory lane with the Woodward Dream Cruise, scheduled for August 19, 2023. Originating as a humble fundraiser for a soccer field in Ferndale, Michigan, in 1995, the Dream Cruise was the brainchild of Nelson House and a group of dedicated volunteers.
Aiming to recreate the golden era of the '50s and '60s, a time when youthful energy, vibrant music, and Motor City steel were the lifeblood of America's first highway - Woodward Avenue, the inaugural event drew a staggering 250,000 participants, nearly tenfold their anticipated number. As they say, the rest is history.
Today, the Woodward Dream Cruise stands as the world's premier one-day celebration of classic car culture, attracting over one million visitors, and featuring more than 40,000 special interest vehicles, including muscle cars, street rods, and custom and collector cars.
The event spans a 16-mile radius along the official Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise route, weaving its way through nine participating municipalities (Berkley, Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, Ferndale, Huntington Woods, Royal Oak, Pleasant Ridge, Pontiac) in Oakland County.
This nostalgic event is undoubtedly one of our favorite August happenings in Michigan, and you can bet we'll be there! Make sure you mark your calendar for this auto-enthusiast's dream day.

St. Clair Art Fair & Jazz Festival

This year, 2023, promises a colossal event in downtown St. Clair on the vibrant riverfront. The well-loved St. Clair Art Fair is set to join forces with the JAZZ Festival for an unforgettable weekend on August 19-20.
The St. Clair Art Fair boasts a rich history, being one of the longest-standing art fairs on Michigan's east side. This is your chance to witness the creative expressions of over 100 visual artists, set against the backdrop of one of the world's largest freshwater boardwalks.

One of the most awaited events, the Michigan Renaissance Festival, will be held in Holly, Michigan. The festival is open on weekends and Labor Day, from 10 am to 7 pm, running from August 19 to October 1, 2023. The venue is at 12600 Dixie Hwy., Holly, MI.
Get ready to be transported to a magical 16th Century European village known as Hollygrove. The villagers cordially extend an invitation to all who wish to experience a day filled with wonder and merriment.
The festival features a diverse selection of entertainment spread across 17 stages. Audiences will be enthralled by musicians' melodies, magicians' mysteries, and jugglers' jaunty performances. A significant highlight is the live armored jousting, where the chivalry and bravery of yore come alive in full-contact battles.
Over 100 artisans will showcase their handcrafted goods in the Festival marketplace, providing a unique and vast shopping experience. Expect to find meticulously crafted items that are perfect keepsakes or gifts.
Engage with unforgettable characters that add to the charm and authenticity of the Renaissance era. Revel in the seven themed weekends, each offering its distinct flair and attractions.

Michigan Made Festival

Mark your calendars for the 3rd Annual Michigan Made Festival, a celebration of the diverse and vibrant essence of our state, taking place on August 26 and 27 at the Canterbury Village, Lake Orion, MI.
The Made in Michigan Market will overflow with a wide range of items including crafts, arts, homemade goods, and jewelry. For those who prefer a drink while they browse, the Made in Michigan Drink Stations will offer Michigan Beer, Cider, Wine, and everyone's favorite Faygo pop. A variety of food options promise to cater to every palate, adding to the merry atmosphere.
But it's not just about shopping and eating - the festival also packs a punch when it comes to entertainment. With the music stage providing top-notch entertainment, festival-goers can look forward to a fantastic time while shopping and eating. Enchanting magic shows, and a Monster Truck “Car Smash” show at 3 pm on both days also promise a fun-filled experience for all. Kids can even enjoy Monster Truck rides, bounce houses, and the delightful balloon artistry.
The festival is also taking a step towards supporting the community by organizing a Food Drive for the Village Food Pantry. Festival-goers are encouraged to bring along canned or boxed, non-perishable food items to donate. All collected items will be donated to the Village Food Pantry, which is set to officially open this month to serve the local community in need.
