Furnace Repair & Maintenance in Michigan: What You Need To Know (Video)

Now that the weather is getting colder, it’s important that you have your furnace professionally inspected to make sure it’s working properly.

As the weather turns colder and we move closer to winter, it’s all the more important to make sure your home’s furnace is in good working order. That’s why today I’ve brought in Denise and Julie Wood of Dan Wood Plumbing and Heating to talk about the importance of maintaining your home’s furnace.

Having your furnace inspected on a yearly basis increases its longevity and protects your family from any unknown hazards. A certified professional can check its safety features and make sure the heat exchanger is in good condition. If it’s cracked at all, that can cause carbon monoxide emissions, which can be dangerous and, in some cases, even fatal.

If you want to get your furnace checked before winter starts, you can sign up for Dan Wood Plumbing’s Wood Home Comfort Program. By signing up for this program, they’ll make two visits to your home per year—once in the fall to check your furnace and once in the spring to check your air conditioning unit. If you sign up now, you’ll also receive 10% off for the first year of service. During the winter, especially, Dan Wood Plumbing takes great care to check your home’s furnace both visually and with their own combustion analyzer.

On a final note, remember that the average lifespan of a carbon monoxide detector is eight years, so if you think your carbon monoxide detector is outdated, just reach out to us and we’d be happy to provide you with a new one.

If you have any more questions for Denise and Julie, you can give them a call at (248) 348-4242 or visit the Dan Wood Plumbing & Heating Website

As always, if you have any other real estate questions, don’t hesitate to give us a call or send us an email. We’d be glad to help you.
