This impressive property is in the Moon Shadows Subdivision. Moon Shadows is an idyllic lakefront 130+ acre subdivision nestled onto all-sports Rush Lake in Pinckney, Michigan.  The 121 families enjoy the private beach, park, 4 miles of roads, marina, and friendly community atmosphere.  Situated in southern Livingston County (just north of Washtenaw County) the subdivision has convenient access to Ann Arbor, Brighton and Howell and less than an hour drive to Detroit and Toledo, as well as the businesses, museums and cultural centers of southeast Michigan.  Livingston County abounds in parks and recreation areas as do nearby Washtenaw, Ingham, and Oakland Counties. The famous Lakelands Trail State Park is just a short walking distance from the Moon Shadows Subdivision. Lakelands Trail is a multi-use trail converted from abandoned railroad corridors. According to the Michigan DNR web site, the north side of the trail is for hiking and biking, and the south side is for horseback riding. The trail is 20 miles (32 km) long with the surface from Stockbridge to Pinckney compose of crushed limestone. 6 miles (9.7 km) are paved in Hamburg Township.
