The property is mandated by the Avondale School District, a public school ditrict headquartered in Auburn Hills. The district educates about 3800 students, and covers southeast Auburn Hills, northeast Bloomfield Township, southwest Rochester Hills, and northwest Troy. The school district is named such because Rochester Hills used to be named Avon Township. The school district was formed in 1947. The Avondale School District, in partnership with the community, delivers a superior school experience that prepares all students to become lifelong learners and contributing citizens.

The property is located in the quiet suburb of Andrew Farms Subdivision. Short walk from the subdivision is Billi Sims Barbecue which is the closest dining. Across Billi Sims Barbecue is New York Burgers and Grill and Chinese Keno Restaurant. Another dining is located a block east which is Loyal Order of Moose.Golden Gate Plaza Shopping Center is 2 miles southeast. Beside is Peppy's Pizza. A block north of Peppy's Pizza are more restaurants like Orchid Cafe, Subway and Tokoyo Seoul.

Closest grocery is Kroger. It is 1mile north. Another grocery located 2.5 miles east is Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace. Across the grocery are Starbucks and Noodles & Company. A block south of Noodles & Company is Alibi of Troy.

Closest park is located 2 miles west, the Firefighters Park. This beautiful big park has football, soccer, and baseball fields. You could also go fishing, volleyball or play fetch with your dog. There's also an 18-hole disc golf course.  

Sylvan Glen Lake Park is 3.5 miles southeast. It is the largest of Troy's nine neighborhood parks. It covers a 16-acre lake for shore fishing. There's also a small parking lot that could accommodate up to 16 vehicles. There's also a disc golf course here. Sylvan Glen Disc Golf Course features an 18 hole, 6,566 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 70. The course rating is 71.3 and it has a slope rating of 115. It opened in 1922.  

Beaumont Hospital is 5 miles east. This 458-bed hospital offers inpatient and outpatient services as well as private practices. It has been recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Magnet hospital for nursing excellence.  

Somerset Collection is 6 miles southwest. It is a luxury mall with more than 180 stores and is co-owned by The Forbes Company. Some of the top luxury retailers present in this mall are Cartiers, L.K. Bennett, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Burberry, Gucci, Salvatore Ferragamo, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Tiffany & Co., Girogio Armani, Herve Leger, Anne Fontaine, Hugo Boss, MaxMara, Omega, St. John and Coach. Some of the restaurants here are P.F. Chang's China Bistro, J. Alexander's, Brio Tuscan Grille, McCormick & Schmick's, and California Pizza Kitchen. The third level of the mall features The Peacock Cafes, it's a group of 10 eateries that could serve up to 650 customers.  

Another mall located 8 miles south east is Oakland Mall Shopping Center. It has about 120 stores that are anchored by Macy's, JCPenney, and Sears. Restaurants and dining at the food court are Charley's Grilled Subs, Cinnabon, Golden Chicken, Panda Express, Qdoba, Sicillia Pizza, Starbucks, Subway and Taco Bell. Some of the shopping stores are Aeropostale, Forever 21, H&M, Victoria's Secret & PINK, Upscale Couture, Chic, Dick's Sporting Goods and a lot more.
