Located 1.9 miles via Novi Road is Walmart Supercenter. These stock everything a Walmart discount store does, but also include a full-service supermarket, including meat and poultry, baked goods, delicatessen, frozen foods, dairy products, garden produce, and fresh seafood. Many Walmart Supercenters also have a garden center, pet shop, pharmacy, Tire and Lube Express, optical center, one-hour photo processing lab, portrait studio, and numerous alcove shops, such as cellular phone stores, hair and nail salons, video rental stores, local bank branches (newer locations have Woodforest National Bank branches), and fast food outlets, usually Subway but sometimes Dunkin Donuts, McDonald's, Wendy's, Checker's, Burger King or Blimpie.

Kroger, 3.4 miles via 12 Mile Road, has several sections that grocery shoppers adore, such as Adult Beverage where cocktails, craft beer and great wines are sold, Deli and Bakery where one can find all party platters needs, cakes and Murray's Cheese. Kroger also has Fresh Produce section, Meat and Seafood section, and Natural Foods section. Shoppers prefer Kroger for a lot of reasons but primarily because of the store formats that include supermarkets, superstores, department stores, convenience stores, and mall jewelry stores.

Restaurants can be extremely valuable additions to a downtown area.  They serve downtown workers and residents as well as attract visitors to the center of the community.  They serve both an economic and social role in the community, helping down towns maintain their role as an important gathering place. Located 1.1 miles via Novi Road are New Cherry Blossom, Chuck E. Cheese's, Lucky Strike Novi, Indo Fusion, Black Rock Bar and Grill, Novi Chophouse, Carraba's Italian Grill, Red Lobster, and Lake Shore Grill.

Shopping malls are playing a key role in modern retailing and marketing system, furthermore they still dominate the distribution system of goods. 

Twelve Oaks Mall A major regional shopping center featuring nearly 200 fine stores plus Nordstrom, Macy's, Lord & Taylor, JCPenney and Sears, Twelve Oaks has been serving customers in the many affluent, fast-growing local communities since 1977. Other retailers include Petland Novi, Suki Hana, Windsor, ALDO, The Limited, Foot Locker, Victoria’s Secret and Pink, Abercrombie and Fitch, and a lot more.

West Oaks II is located at the intersection of Novi Road and I-96 in Novi, Michigan. The center sits directly across Novi Road from the areas super regional shopping center, Twelve Oaks Mall, creating one of the busiest retail hubs in southeastern Michigan. The center has several popular retail tenants, including Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts, Marshalls, Kohls, Five Below, Bed Bath and Beyond, Gamestop, RadioShack, and Toys"R"Us.

Parks are complex elements of a city. They can serve scores of different uses, may be specialized in their function, or can simply provide visual appeal for residents. 

Pavilion Shore Park is located 0.7 mile via Old Novi Road. This 11 acre park was opened on August 24, 2013. Hundreds of residents came out to enjoy the festivities and play at the new park. The park sits on the southern shore of Walled Lake and consists of walking paths, a fishing pier, picnic plaza, parking and waterfront seating. Just a short walk (.2 miles) to the west is Lakeshore Park with additional amenities: sand volleyball, swim beach, Horseshoe pits, BBQs, picnic shelters, play structures and over 10 miles of mountain biking and multi-purpose trails. The Pavilion Shore Park has a rich history as the former home of the Walled Lake Amusement Park and the Walled Lake Casino. The Pavilion Shore Conservancy is an organization that is dedicated to preserving the area's unique heritage and promote its environmental, educational and recreational resources.

The largest of the City’s parks, Lakeshore Park offers a wide variety recreational opportunities and plays host to many community events. Active recreation opportunities include a swimming beach (on Walled Lake, the largest lake in the City) in the summer months, well maintained mountain bike and walking trails and two play structures. The park is also home to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Two picnic shelters are available for community use at the park. Pavilion Shore Park only a short walk from the Lakeshore Park entrance and provides additional amenities to enjoy such as lake front seating, pathways and open space. 

Downtown is an important factor for industrial, commercial developers, and professional recruitment.

The Mill Race Village, also known as, Northville Historical Society, is a historical village which preserves the architectural styles common to the Northville area prior to 1900's. The village sits on 11 acres of land surrounded by water on all but one side. Village buildings include a church, school, inn, blacksmith shop, gazebo, interurban station, and three homes.

Governor Warner Mansion and Museum is the former home of Michigan governor Fred Warner (1905-1911). Filled with historic artifacts, memorabilia from 1850 through 1920. The mansion sits on approximately three acres surrounding gardens. Museum is open March to December, Wednesdays and the first Sunday of each month 1-5pm. During the Founders Festival, the third week in July, the Museum is open Friday 1-5pm, Saturday 12-8pm, and Sunday 12-4pm. Tours, conducted by docents, will be given during hours of operation. The Museum can arrange additional tours for groups any day if requested. Also, Grounds are available for weddings but need to be booked in advance.
