Designated areas of the district are assigned to various schools. Each elementary school and middle school has an attendance zone. Students are randomly assigned to high schools, regardless of their locations within the district. The Novi Community School District (NCSD) is the school district that governs the schools surrounding the Crestwood property, this is the school district with its headquarters located in Novi, MI. It operates eight schools. The board of education includes a president, a vice president, a secretary, a treasurer, and four members. As of 2011 Dr. Steve Matthews is the district superintendent. NCSD is ranked as the fourth best school district in the state of Michigan on k12 Niche and is also consistently ranked in the top 20 school districts in the state of Michigan, in many rankings. In the decade leading up to 2005, the school district's enrollment increased from 3,790 to 6,150 and the budget increased from $29 million to $60 million. Around 2005, district administrators anticipated that newly established housing developments in northern and western Novi would add 1,600 houses to the district. In 2005 the school district proposed giving random drug tests to students involved in all extracurricular activities.

Neighborhood Info

The property is located in the Island Lake of Novi Subdivision. The community has a boathouse, tennis courts, volley ball courts, and a pool. The Boathouse can be rented out for private events to residents only. The only areas that can be reserved are the great room, kitchen and library. The weekend rate is $100 per hour and we hold a cleaning deposit of $150 and a security deposit of $250. Fundraisers or private business events to promote business are not permitted.  The Boathouse can also  be reserved at no charge for HOA sanctioned events only.  All residents within a sub association or the community as whole must be invited.  Events must be all inclusive. Please contact the office for any clarification.  Unapproved events will result in an assessment to the homeowner holding the event plus a possible fine.  The building is not available to rent on holidays.
