A short walk from the subdivision is Walgreens. Restaurants surrounding Walgreens are Brass Pointe, Jimmy John’s, Village Grill and a lot more. There are also retailers here including Sherwin-Williams Paint Store, Global Minds and Illuminating Concepts.
1.5 miles south is Farmington Shopping Plaza Shopping Center. It's a 75,000 sq ft shopping center anchored by Overstock Outlet. Other retailers are Liberty Tax, Grand Tailor, Metro PCS, Nia Salon and The Framery. The shopping center has easy access with plenty of parking.
2 miles northeast of the subdivision is Kroger. Merchants Marketplace Shopping Center is 2.5 miles east. Retailers here are CVS, Asia Grocers, Jungle Java and Taste of China restaurant. Ginopolis is also a restaurant nearby.
Downtown Farmington is 2 miles east. It is nestled in the southwest corner of Oakland County and is within easy reach of four major freeways. It has over 160 businesses that include large national retailers and small boutiques. Downtown Farmington's Sundquist Pavilion and Riley Park host the Saturday Farmers Market; Rhythmz in Riley Park, a free Friday summer concert series; and other activities. The landmark Farmington Civic Theater could also be found here. Restaurants in Downtown Farmington offer a wide variety of foods, from casual dining, to formal dining, to international cuisines. Some of the restaurants in Downtown Farmington are Burger King, Cake Luv, Bellacino's Pizza & Grinders, Cold Stone Creamery, Starbucks, RUMI, and a lot more. Other stores in the area are Beyond Salon, Chase Bank, Castle Dental, Oriental Spa, and many more. Downtown Farmington has been actively renovating since 2009. Some of the improvements are new lighting, landscaping, brick-paved sidewalk and a lot more.
Heritage Park is 2 miles west. It's a 211-acre park with 4.5 miles of trails for hiking and nature study. In the winter these trails are used for cross-country skiing. A large picnic area is located at the north end of the park. It includes a splash pad, group picnic shelter, youth playground, in-ground grills, two sand volleyball courts, an in-line hockey rink and six horseshoe pits. The picnic shelter is available on a "first-come" basis, but may be reserved in advance for a nominal fee. Also located in Heritage Park are the Spicer House, Stables Art Studio, Day Camp, Nature Center and Amphitheatre buildings.
A mile north of Heritage Park is Woodland Hills Nature Park. It is a sanctuary for native plants and animals to thrive within their natural habitat. The park is managed primarily for the protection of these species and features. It also provides educational, scientific, recreational and aesthetic benefits for the community of Farmington Hills.
Twelve Oaks Mall and West Oaks Mall are bigger malls 9 miles west. The two malls are across each other. Twelve Oaks Mall is an up-scale shopping center with a great variety of stores but at moderate prices. It has a great layout to accommodate many people especially during holidays. Some of the restaurants inside the mall are A&W All American Food, California Pizza Kitchen, Max & Erma's, Mrs. Fields, Cafe Bistro, Lakeshore Grill, Olga's Kitchen, Starbucks, The Cheesecake Factory and Taco Bell. Ladies can shop at Armani Exchange, Aeropostale, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Athleta, bebe, Buckle, Gap, Garage, H & M and a lot more. Department stores inside the mall are Macy's, Nordstrom, Sears, Lord & Taylor and jcpenney. Across is West Oaks Mall. Some of retailers here are Art Van Furniture, Marshalls, Brookstone, Michaels, Old Navy, DSW Designer Shoe, Gander Mountain, Kohls, Bed Bath & Beyond, Big Lots and a lot more. Restaurants are Starbucks, Novi Siam Spicy, Cherry Blossom, Carrabba’s Italian Grill, and Novi Chophouse.
Botsford Hospital is 3 miles south. It is a 330-bed hospital and a verified trauma center. Patients with traumatic injuries are treated by doctors who are specialized in emergency medicine, surgery, critical care and other disciplines. Botsford Hospital is also a base teaching hospital for Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (MSUCOM) and Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine (AZCOM).
