Luckily for us, there is ample opportunity to catch the big game at countless restaurants, bars, and establishments throughout Metro Detroit. Here are our top picks.

Winter Family Film Series

Emagine Theaters Playing Family Favorite Movies for Just $3!  Or $5 with popcorn and a drink!

This is so cool and one of the reasons the Emagine Theaters are still my favorite theaters in Metro Detroit.  Especially since picking up the Birmingham 8 and the Palladium.

After getting snubbed by the NFL, they were going to play the Lions games and the NFL stepped in and said NO. However, Emagine and Paul Glatz the Emagineer isn’t letting that stop them from doing cool stuff!  Here’s one of them.

Every week they’re running their Winter Family Film Series at Emagine for just 3 dollars per person or to upgrade to the Magic Pack, it’s Five dollars and you get a popcorn and small drink.

You’re doing it wrong.

This isn’t just for Realtors but all business owners & marketers, for the sake of this post I’ll use real estate as the example.

In marketing you are not the hero of the story, the clients are. And I see post after post that goes something like... Look I sold another home, I listed another home, etc., or I wrote a mortgage, or insert X widget or service.

I used to make that mistake constantly. I had so many posts on myself & sales going at one point my mother unfriended me on Facebook. Yep Momma P got tired of seeing her own son in her feed.

Here’s the framework to use and I’ll use one of my own clients as the example.

This person (the client, the Hero, Tim and Sarah fake names) has a problem. They have a child about…

At the bottom is a chart and map of the fastest appreciating cities over one and five year timeframes.

The numbers are out and Metro Detroit continues to surprise.  First the Lions who could never make it to the playoffs.  Then U of M who went 15 and 0 with the expected win over Washington State.  The Pistons created their own record this year with their 28 losses in a row, but let's not get into that.

Now, it's real estate and for a couple surprising reasons. Zillow just released it's home value report, data verified by Stacker, a New Jersey Company with surprising results.

For the last 16 months in a row Miami has been reigning champion with home value increases and this month Detroit is the top Metro in the Nation with a 9.2% year over year…

Detroit Auto Show moved back to January from September

Is it really the Auto Show if you can feel your face?!

When I was a kid my dad, who worked for General Motors for 37 years, would bundle us kids up, just my sister and myself, my mother had no interest in going, and we'd take our annual January Pilgrimage to Cobo Hall.  We're the Motor City, and this show is the epitome of what it means to be a Detroiter, even if you're a Metro Detroiter.  It gave us, not my sister, she was dragged along, us being my dad and I, something to look forward to every year.  He'd grab his free tickets as an employee of General Motors, we'd hop in the Pontiac Transport, that I swear was modeled after a dustbuster, and fight the winds and snow, usually park on the…
