Livonia Public Schools (LPS) is a public school district in southeastern Michigan Metro Detroit area, serving most of the city of Livonia and the northernmost portions of Westland.

As of the 2006-2007 school year, the district has revised their curriculum to a four-tier system: K-4, 5-6, 7-8 and 9-12 Grade Levels. Prior to 2006, the curriculum was K-6, 7-8 and 9-12 grade levels. During the 1979-1980 school year, 9th graders were moved over to the high schools. Prior to then, junior high schools consisted of grades 7-9 and senior high schools consisted of grades 10-12. The school system also offers classes at the high school level at the Livonia Career Technological Center. Students can take classes that can gain valuable experience in their career choice before graduating high school.

The district has consistently been ranked as one of the top districts statewide, a distinction held since the 1960s. However, in the recent years, the district has undergone changes and is currently rated # 102 in ranks among Michigan Public School Systems.

This property is located in the Windridge Village Subdivision located at 7 Mile and Norwich in Northern Livonia.There are approximately 500 well taken care of homes that just exude pride of home ownership right from the entrance.

Kroger, located 1.2 miles via Bretton Drive and Gill Road, has several sections that grocery shoppers adore, such as Adult Beverage where cocktails, craft beer and great wines are sold, Deli and Bakery where one can find all party platters needs, cakes and Murray's Cheese. Kroger also has Fresh Produce section, Meat and Seafood section, and Natural Foods section. Shoppers prefer Kroger for a lot of reasons but primarily because of the store formats that include supermarkets, superstores, department stores, convenience stores, and mall jewelry stores.

Riley Skate Park was named after a donor, George Riley and the Riley Foundation, who gave $500,000 toward the City of Farmington Hills Skate Park project.  Riley Skate Park attracts around 200 skaters each day, in addition to the thousands of people who will visit the skate park for skateboard competitions and camps.

Laurel Park Place Mall is an enclosed upscale shopping mall located 3 miles via W 7 mile Road. The mall features over 70 restaurants and stores, with Carson's and Von Maur as anchor stores. Laurel Park Place includes the Phoenix movie theaters, restaurants, a food court, the attached Livonia Marriott Hotel, and an office tower. Town Peddler is Michigan’s first and largest craft and antique mall located 5.9 miles via Farmington Road. Greenmead Farms, also known as Greenmead Historical Park, is a 3.2-acre historic park located in Base Line Road. It includes the 1841 Greek Revival Simmons House, six other structures contributing to the historic nature of the property, and additional buildings moved from other locations. Greenmead Farms was designated a Michigan State Historic Site in 1971 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. The 1841 farmhouse is a two-story, Greek Revival frame house with side gables and clapboard siding, sitting on a stone foundation. Drip molding surmounts the windows, and Ionic pilasters flank the front door. The interior has five fireplaces, and period 19th century woodwork. In addition to the house, nine of the original eleven outbuildings are still standing. These include the 1829 North Barn (the first barn built in Livonia), the farmhand's house (believed to be the original Simmons cabin), an additional barn and a greenhouse.

The Plymouth Historical Museum features 26,000 square feet of exhibits, a gift shop, and an archives and research library, located 8 miles via Newburgh Road. This museum also features a late 19th-century Victorian recreation of Main Street, tracing the growth of the small town from the railroad depot to the general store. The largest Lincoln collection in the state of Michigan is housed in a separate room off of Main Street. And a Timeline of Plymouth is the newest permanent exhibit, featuring displays on the Daisy Air Rifle, Ford Village Industries, the Alter Motor Car, World War II, communication history, and much more.
