A short walk east is Fogler's Greenhouse and Fogler's Orchard and Farm Market. It's a 120 acres of land offering home grown plants, fruits and vegetables. There's also a retail store in an old country barn where they sell hand made products like home & garden decor and pottery.

Blue Heron Environmental Area is less than a mile north. It got its name from herons returning year after year. The park contains 139 acres of high-quality forests, wetlands and open farmlands. The fields are least to local farmers. Rochester Cider Mill is 1.5 miles south.

Blackheath Golf Club is 1 mile north. The golf club opened in 1998 and was designed and constructed by Kevin Aldrich. Amenities are snowboarding, sledding & tobogganning hills, 2 beaches on Stony Creek Lake, Picnic areas with basketball courts, baseball fields, playgrounds, and beach volleyball courts. There's also a nature center, ice skating rink, boat launch, cross country skiing trails and ski rentals. Other rentals are rowboats, paddleboats, canoes, and kayaks. The park also has a golf course. It's a 26-hole, 6,928-yard, par-72 course gives an “up north” feel with separated, heavily wooded fairways. Water hazards add to the challenge.
