Located 3.9 miles via Geddes Road and Michigan Avenue is one of the 14 elementary schools in Wayne-Westland School District is the Walker-Winter Elementary School. It is a public school that serves 438 students in grades K-4 and was ranked one of the highest independent schools in Canton. Walker-Winter Elementary School students actively takes part in sports and athletics like football, baseball, wrestling and basketball and also has its musical band which actively appears in various sports competitions as a cheer leading.

Another elementary school that's part of the Wayne-Westland School District is the Roosevelt-McGrath Elementary School. Both Franklin and Stevenson Middle Schools are fully accredited members of the North Central Association and serve seventh and eighth grade students. Located 7.9 miles via S Canton Center Road and Cherry Hill Road is John Glenn High School, known as the crown jewel of the Wayne-Westland Community School District’s 23 schools. The school, which opened in 1964, was named for astronaut John Glenn, who just two years prior had become the first person to orbit the earth.  It currently serves approximately 2,250 of the 14,100 students in the Wayne-Westland district, accepting its students from Marshall and Stevenson Middle Schools. With a variety of challenges, opportunities, and experiences each day, John Glenn High School certainly provides a comprehensive education for its student  and teachers.
