Farmington Public Schools is a public school district headquartered in Farmington, MI. As of the 2014-2015 school year, the district serves 10,436 students. It provides services for students in Farmington, Farmington Hills, and a portion of West Bloomfield. The district has a total staff of 1,380, making it the second largest employer in the Farmington-Farmington Hills area.

Holocaust Memorial Center is a unique museum documents the horror of the Holocaust and events leading up to it. Located 3.8 miles via W 13 Mile Road, it also preserves a wealth of Jewish culture and history, and serves as a comprehensive research and resource center. Docent guided public tours are available Sunday through Thursday at 1pm and last approximately two hours. Group tours are also available by appointment. The Memorial Center is closed on Jewish and most legal holidays.

Located 5 miles via Drake Road, Governor Warner Mansion and Museum is the former home of Michigan governor Fred Warner (1905-1911). Filled with historic artifacts, memorabilia from 1850 through 1920. The mansion sits on approximately three acres surrounding gardens. Museum is open March to December, Wednesdays and the first Sunday of each month 1-5pm. During the Founders Festival, the third week in July, the Museum is open Friday 1-5pm, Saturday 12-8pm, and Sunday 12-4pm. Tours, conducted by docents, will be given during hours of operation. The Museum can arrange additional tours for groups any day if requested. Also, Grounds are available for weddings but need to be booked in advance.
